I have been blessed with the opportunity to live and work in the beautiful country of Morocco, in North Africa. With a coast stretching from the Atlantic, past the Straight of Gibraltar and into the Mediterranean, this ancient land is filled with history and culture and beauty that makes an artist’s heart sing!  I was continuously delighted by colors and textures and people, from the vibrant orange sands of the Sahara desert in the South, to the mountainous town of Chefchaouen in the North - a town strewn with fabulous old doors, all painted in hues of blue, and bags of pigment powder waiting to be mixed into paint to cover the centuries old walls.  These paintings are the beginning of my response to such stimulants, as I set out to capture my experiences there.
